"Wayfinding" is the industry term for signs that get you from one point to another, usually indoors and in larger buildings such as hospitals, high-rises, hotels, etc.  Even in smaller office complexes however, wayfinding signage is imperative for getting clients, customers and patients from parking structures and entrances to their intended destinations.  Wayfinding signs are sometimes large-scale manufactured "systems,"(see link below) or can be custom designed and manufactured for your particular need.  Some examples are provided here.
